On the racetrack Elvstroem was a Champion. He won nine Group races, five of them at the elite Group 1 level. He retired to stud with earnings of over $5,700,000.
Elvstroem’s stud career is another success story with his volume of winners continuing to grow on a weekly basis. He settled in to the leading stallion ranks very smartly indeed, being crowned:-

1) Champion First Season Sire in Victoria 2008/09 and

2) Champion Second Season Sire in Victoria 2009/10.

Elvstroem’s career progeny earnings are now well through $17,900,000 and his volume of winners continues to grow on a weekly basis. This season alone he has sired 24 individual winners of 35 races and had progeny earnings of over $1,492,000. Elvstroem has now sired a total of 11 individual stakes winners which include the 2014-15 Group One VRC Emirates Stakes winner Hucklebuck and Group Two SAJC Adelaide Cup winner Outback Joe. Other stakes winners include Shanghai Warrior, Kullu, Brilliant Bisc, Carrara, Go The Knuckle, Viking Hero, Innocent Gamble, Instalment and Viking Legend.
